Turning Creativity Into Online Marketing
This channel follows the artist/animator Jazza who is an Australian YouTuber and has been around the internet for a very long time. I remember discovering a game made by him back in 2008 on a flash site called Newgrounds. On Newgrounds I believe is where he got most of his fans. When he shifted to making youtube videos he dedicated it to art challenges. On the internet challenges do very well, most people enjoy seeing others in strenuous or stressful situations. This I’d say garners a lot of the attention he gets. He also makes tutorials on many different art skills. With consistent uploads and a large range of ideas I feel is the key to his success. He has now reached 3,295,854 subscribers and is a very popular artist on youtube.
As a fellow creative and artist, it’s very inspiring to seeing a fellow artist do so well. He hones his skills as an artist for all of his marketing strategy. Making videos for YouTube is only one component. He also uses his skills to make his own merchandise. His merchandise includes PS brushes, drawing guides, coloring books, shirts, hoodies, posters, etc. With all this verity in skills, Jazza stumbled upon the skill learning site SkillShare. Here he makes educational tutorial videos “Stand out and make money on YouTube!” and “How to Talk and Present to Camera like a Pro!” Juggling on all these different skills and services I’d say really gives him the edge in marketing. The 3 million subscribers speak for itself in how successful it is.
